Technical Architecture & Methodology

How VisaDocAssist Works

VisaDocAssist combines modern browser-first web engineering with rigorous consular research. Discover the technical architecture, cryptographic privacy boundaries, and validation algorithms powering our platform.

1. Client-Side Processing

Image crops, PDF byte compression, and CV document rendering run locally in your web browser via HTML5 Canvas and Web Workers.

2. Zero Document Storage

VisaDocAssist operates with no document database. When you close the tab, all file memory buffers are purged from your device's RAM.

3. Deterministic Validation

Check outcomes are generated by deterministic mathematical rules—never probabilistic or hallucinating artificial intelligence models.

1. The Client-Side Execution Engine

Conventional document checkers upload your private photographs and financial records to remote cloud servers to analyze them. VisaDocAssist was deliberately engineered with an inverted, privacy-first paradigm:

  • HTML5 FileReader & ArrayBuffers: When you select a file, your browser reads its binary signature locally into memory without sending HTTP POST file payloads to our web host.
  • Offscreen Canvas & Geometric Resampling: Photo cropping and aspect ratio enforcement use browser canvas rendering pipelines to ensure pixel-perfect fidelity down to fractions of a millimeter.
  • Binary Search Compression: For files exceeding embassy byte ceilings (e.g. 240 KB for US DS-160, 4 MB for Canada IRCC), an in-memory binary search compresses the JPEG stream to the exact highest permissible quality threshold.

2. Mathematical Encoding of Official Specifications

Every sovereign jurisdiction expresses photo and document constraints in differing formats:

Physical Dimensions to Digital Pixels

U.S. requires 2×2 inches (minimum 600×600 px at 300 DPI up to 1200×1200 px). Canada requires 35×45 mm with 31–36 mm chin-to-crown ratio. UKVI requires 35×45 mm with 29–34 mm head height. We calculate the exact mathematical bounds for each.

Byte Ceilings & Color Profiles

We enforce standard sRGB color profile validation, 24-bit color depth, and exact byte ranges (e.g. 240 KB maximum for DS-160, 10 MB for UKVI online uploads).

3. Continuous Testing & Regression Audits

Before any tool update is published to production:

  • Automated test scripts verify edge-case dimensions (off-by-one pixel variations, extreme aspect ratios).
  • Full headless browser test suites verify responsive behavior across mobile viewports, tablets, and desktops.
  • Static export verifiers ensure all internal links and consular reference citations resolve without 404 errors.
